HULLO NOT-A-BEARS!
Remember me marrygolds? WELL! I mite hav fownd wat was eetin them.
Not shor wat it's calld. I think it's a sort ov MINER bug, cos it burrows into the leef. Yu kno, like miners sort ov burro into mines. Or not. Look, I don't nayme theez things, OK?
I cud hav thort of a betta nayme fer it, I bet. I meen, I'm a grayte thinker, I am. I think ov lots ov things an enjoy a good hard ponder. Like, if the yewniverss is forever expandin, wy issent ther enuff room fer mor bookshelves in this howse? Eh? Wy do I hav to be at the mersy ov piles ov books rownd evry door? I'm ownly littol. Wun rong moov mid-conga rownd the rooms an I cud get skwisht.
Enyway. I dygress. If I had naymed this bug, I'd hav calld it the Burrowin Snakey Leaf Bug, or sumthing like that. Not MINER bug. It duzzent even hav wun ov those fansy torch-hats.
I showd it to Dilly, cos she likes bugs, an likes that bug-man fella on CSI, too. So I thort she mite be a bit ov an expert on them....
....unfortewnately, she just ate it:
So we may never kno wat it waz fer shor.
Never mind. The marrygolds ar lookin grayte, an reelly hewge now. I waz goin to plarnt them owt today but the lalydy on the telly sed ther will be mor thunder tomorro. I don't want ther ferst day in the wild to be scary. So I'll release them at the weekend insted.
Bye fer now!

Just a (ahem) miner problem, then?
More thunder - have you got your hug pants and emergency shelter ready?
Chalky
Glad you found what the marigold problem was but hope Dilly doesn't get a taste for them. Good luck to your Mum on lowcarb diet! Hope you don't have to go out when the thunderstorm comes; it must be difficult for a bear to dry his fur out.
