If yu are wat yu eat, then my Mummy is nuts.
Pistachio nuts, to be precise.

She has been eetin them by the bus-load. She is sayving the shells fer wen I plarnt my marigolds outside. She is goin to scatter the shells rownd them, to stop the slugs munching the leeves. Heer ar jus sum of wat she has sayved so far:

Larst year she yewsd eggshells. Man, she dident poo fer a week in order to get enuff of them. THAT'S dedicayshun.

I hope the marigolds appryshyate all our effort. They seem to be kwite happy:

What a brilliant idea the Pistachio shells are for protecting your marigolds; which are looking very good! I looked back at the photo of your newt; I think they have orange bellies when they are breeding. There is a good site with some info on HERE

I get slugs in my garden too. One year I found a huge one. A fat one at least 6 inches long. Green with stripes. Slime is yuck!

One year I put out little plates of beer. Got them all drunk and dehydrated.

I don't really TALK to them, Shrinky, but I do sing an darnse arownd them.

This either entertains them or confewses them. Either way, they've decided the only way to a) join in or b) escape is to grow upwards.
