  • Nose Hugs Surprizisity Score: 8.5/10
  • Weekend Score: 8, on accownt ov that Simpsons episode. Wish I'd recordid it! /10

An thankyew fer yor payshunse. It haz tayken a long time to get Blogger to upload eny fotoze at all, let alone all the wuns I want to show yu! In the end I drayped the compewter box wiv lots ov pants an, arfter a few encurridging kicks, it gayve in an admittid that I waz boss ov it.

So. Heer we go then. My foto-jernol ov Crismoss Day.....

The tree sort ov recuvverd from the munching aphids, but endid up a bit thinner. Never mind. We jus threw mor an mor stuff on it till yu cuddent see all the gaps. This is errly Crismoss mornin....

This is the Crib that Mummy mayde, owt ov clay....Wen we cayme downstairs we fownd our soks an pressies....

This waz my sok:

This is wun ov my fayvrit pressies, a Poo chart! I shall do a post all abowt this layter, by speshol reekwest ov Stanley!

I also got sum speshol Spy Pens an sum choklit Peanuts!

This waz Dilly's sock:

She got a new ribbon, a Freddo Frog bar, a pink wind-up bug. But her fayvrit pressie is a "pwinsessy sofa-bed". It lifts up an she puts all her stuff in the bottom ov it, wich meens bows, mostly, reelly. It's very pink (urrrgh) but it keeps her owt ov my way!

Sam got a pullover an a hat:

He luvs his "Beanie Hat". He thinks it maykes him look cool. He keeps yewsin werds like 'dood' an 'hangin'. As in, "Whare's my tea hangin, dood?" an then he trys to mayke his paws clik.

The Windowsill Bear Familee got sum Bear gingerbred. There wer three bits, in the shape ov a big Daddy Bear, a meedium Mummy Bear, an a littol Baby Bear. LBBBJ waz a bit mift at the size ov the smallist. Dilly staulked the bow.

Mulligan Tyre Bear got a Hunny Stik an kwikly hid it from LBBBJ.

Grayum got the jumper an soks he wontid...

He has worn it ever sinse, exsept I did mayke him tayke it off wen Gillingham playd Nottingham Forest the next day (full nayme: 'Nottin-scum Forest-not-fit-for-a-Bear-to-poo-in') as it looks a bit like their kit. Speshly wiv that tree on it.

Ov all the pressies Daddy got, our fayvrit waz a box ov mini choklit bars. They wer mor our size, reelly!

I got this bloo hoodie fer Crismoss too!

Amung Mummy's pressies waz this new bag. Heer I am tryin it owt fer size. I like the culler. Not shor abowt that flower tho.

We broke off pressie openin for a wile wen Mummy spottid a Bob-Robin in the gardin. He lookt like he cuddent fly. He sat on the grarss fer a long time so Mummy went owt to arsk if he waz allrite. He let her pik him up. She sed his wings wer ok, but his tayle waz a bit floppy. So she brort him in...

Me, Daddy an Granny put him in a box an drove him to a Mergensy Anmol Hopsikol neer our howse. A laydy opend the door an sed, "Oh! A robin! An on Crissmoss Day!" an took him in.

(Mummy waz worreed bowt him, but rang them a few days layter an they sed he waz ok. They sed he waz littol an they had to wayte fer his new tayle fethers to grow bak befor he goze owt to play agen. They wer feedin him werms.)

As well as Granny, my Unkol David an Arnty Stephanie cayme, an brort my cuzzins Alex an Dominic. Heer they ar, playin wiv Granny.

Mummy cookt.....

There waz lots ov food...

...tho Grayum preferd to sniff owt a few simpol Beary snaks.

It's apparently a big compliment to the cook wen all yor gests ar comatose on the sofa arfter dinner!

We Bears rowndid off the day wiv a good Bedtime reed! (Hey! Grayum's warin Sam's Beanie Hat!)

Tomorro I'll tell yu abowt wen we went to Granny's howse an took the massarge chair wiv us for the Sheppey Bears to try out!

Bye fer now!

Hey Bob,
Looks like you made out well for Christmas! Got an important Teddy Bear question for ya, though -- your Mommy's new bag? Does it have a secret trawp door on the bottom, so you can sneakeded out and raid the nearest kitchen or hotdog vendor, when you go out in it wif her?

Peoples don't know this, but the secret TBBMG (Teddy Bear Bag Making Guild) installs trawp doors on the bottom of all hand bags, cloth bags or canvas bags that Peoples might get, just in case a bear needs to make a quick little side venchur when they aren't lookin'! We must inspect all bags, before Mommy or Daddy (you know - manly bags like rucksacks/backpacks, overnight bags, or Gigundo bags to take while flea marketinging or garage salinging) even considers bringing one into our home. Sometimes they stop off for lunch with us, and don't consider if the restaurant even makes hotdogs, or they visit a Teddy Bear Adoption Center, where we have to visit all the orphans on the shelf to tell them about life after adoption.

We didn't take 25 pictures of Christmas, but we haven't gotten to Christmas in our blog anyway. We do know that Santa and Sandy Paws (Stuffed Animals special Father Christmas) will be giving you a special thank you after Christmas, since you saved the day for Teddies around the world, by giving them the heads-up on that Father Christmas net trap in Ozzie!

Mommy also wants to know who your Teddy Bear tailor is. She crochets many of our clothes, so gets excited to see what others are creating for their bears' clothes.

Still enjoying your journal!

Exciteddily Yours,
Spauld and Ted T.

Hello Bob! Wow, all those presents. Would you believe it, The Collective got forgotten this year (something to do with getting bugs before Christmas).

Anyway - I'm so glad you're back, I've missed you. I've been doing a bit of hibernating, so haven't beee a blogging, but now it's new year and all that I'm coming round again.

Grayum's big isn't he?

Must go and check the JJBinC's handbags for trap doors!

Gosh, what a splendid Christmas you had (minus the sicky humans). You received some excellent presents and had all the human family there. What more could a bear want?

Hello Bob

It certainly looked a busy day in your household on Christmas Day. All those pressies that had to be opened.

We live in Kent but don't support the Gills. Does that make us bad citizens do you think? We have only one bear amongst us who likes footie and he supports West Ham oops!

You look like you had a blast on Christmas, what with all the bears, and all the family, and your new poo chart & chocolate peanuts! You sure ended up with some FABulous prezzies.

Thanks for all the photos... it sure helps me get an idea of your world and all of your peeps and bearbuds. (Your mama is quite fetching, and would be even if she DIDN'T have a roasted turkey right there beside her. Roasted turkey DOES make every photo better, though, don't you think?)

Can't wait to see the post on your new poo chart. I'm very intrigued.

Goober love & more holiday smooches,

Teddy T an Spaulding,

I dident kno bowt this! Trap dors, yu say? Gosh.... I've got a lot ov bags to chek owt rownd heer....

altho, larst time I nipt owt fer a seekrit mishun, Mummy an Daddy got worreed an thort I waz lost! (HA! Imagin! Me? Lost? I'm a seekrit agent!) They eevn put up 'lost' posters rownd the estayte.

So now wen I go owt, say in Daddy's pokkit to the shops, Mummy wayves her finger at me an sez,

Onnistly. It's hewmiliatin. Spehly wen there ar yunger Bears in earshot.

I'm not shor how theez new clothes wer mayde, cos they cayme from Father Crismoss. But preeviously Mummy goze to charity shops an looks for small Bears an Not-a-Bears that ar up for adopshun, wuns wiv clothes that mite fit me. Then she pays the adopshun fee, remoovs the clothes, an finds the critter another home. Sumtimes Granny's. Sumtimes she drops him off at another adopshun senter, a warm wun, sinse now heed be nayked.

She also gets small bits ov material, like woolly stuff or felt or cotton, an then she cuts them up an sows them. She carnt knit cos her fingers hert. I wonder if crochet wud hert too? Wat duzz yor Mommy think?

I'm off to chek out sum bags.....

Hullo! I waz beginnin to worry bowt yu!

Hibernaytin, eh? Com on, be onnist. Wer yu doin a wee bit ov a sulk, too? Ha! I wood. Woodent blayme yu, if yu dident get enything for Crismoss. I hope yu applied a good poo to their pant drors. A number wun on the Bristol Stool chart, I shud think. Yes, that wud be the best type. HA! I shall hav to blog abowt that chart soon......

Grayum issent reelly big, he waz jumpin at the camra. Agen.

Wat mor cud a Bear want?

B.T.Bear (esq.) said...

Oh dear! The Gills need all the serpport they can get! Yu cuddent eevn see yor way to frolick a bloo pair ov pants on match days? Evry littol helps.

As fer West Ham, eevn the nayme sownds a bit suspect, in a smelly sticky sort ov way....

B.T.Bear (esq.) said...

HA! Yu mayde my Mummy go pink! Ha! Hehehee!

Yes, the terkey waz yum. She coverd it wiv butter an saffron an stuk a whole unyun an a whole appol up its bum.

B.T.Bear (esq.) said...

Thank yu! It was a grayte time. I've still got lots ov choccie left. I've hidden it. Mum's on a diet an so I thort I better help...

B.T.Bear (esq.) said...

Hullo there Blue!

Wat a grayte nayme!

Much better than Pink. HA!

Yes, Mummy seems better, tho she still gets very tired all ov a sudden, so we Bears ar havin to mayke shor we always leev a spayce cleer on the sofa, in cayse she needs to collapse. I think reelly she cud do wiv a bit ov hibernaytin.

Yay! I'm glad I got the fotoze up at larst!

Thankfully, the bug dident get to enywun else.... "tutch wood". (I think that's ment to be lukky. Not as lukky as bloo pants, obviusly. Otherwise we cud mayke sum bloo pants owt ov wood. Now THAT wood be lukky, if a bit uncumfterbol. Speshly if it had splinters. Ooo ouch.)

B.T.Bear (esq.) said...

I don't see a lot ov sam as he is still into explorin the howse, bein as he is a Bear ov small stature (I hav to be careful how I say that cos Phytheas is tiny an gets a tad sens-see-teeev abowt it, if yu kno wat I meen.)

But enyway, yeah, he is happy. Speshly wiv his new togs.

If knitting hurts, crocheting would hurt. Maybe the secret is to only knit or crochet a little! ROFLMBO Yeah, like I know how to do anything just "a little."

I do know the frustration of not doing crafts that I used to be able to do -- got lots of stained glass in the basement, and I swear, some day, I'll go back to it -- as soon as I figure out how to do, just a little at a time. ;)

(aka Mommy to Ted and Spauld, who also don't know "a little.")
