OK, to make things a little clearer for my Merrykan cuzzins, here is my British PANTS identity chart:

I hav mor to explain on the subject, not least frolicking, making a hammock, etc. But study this chart an yu should know what we're talking about when we get to that level.

Hi From America...More About Pants. [Post by Quirky The Bear] Hey-Yo Bob! I read with interest your discussion on pants. Just a note to say, thanks for explaining it all so clearly. The illustrations were particularly helpful. Just a note...in America, we call them underpants, or undies. Ladies often call theirs panties. And men often call theirs shorts. Or boxer shorts, or briefs. Also white briefs have been called tighty whities. During the 1960's or so, there was a fad in American colleges for the boys to raid the girls dorm rooms and steal their panties. This was called a "Panty Raid". A favorite scene from an American movie called "16 Candles" is when the Geek borrows Molly Ringwald's panties and shows them to the other boys in the boy's bathroom after charging them a buck. When Molly is told of this over the phone the next day, she almost brings down the house when she screams! Another piece of American folklore is this little childhood rhyme, which is said when one child spys another child's underpants..."I see London, I see France, I see someone's (or insert the other child's name here) underpants." So, this just goes to show that Americans can also be obsessed with these objects. And it's also well known that young women sometimes throw their panties onstage during rock concerts. Phil Collins of Genesis once was interviewed leaving the stage at a concert, with an assortment of panties in his hands. He showed them to the cameraman, and said, "I could open up a Lingerie Shop with all of these I've collected over the years." I wonder what he did with them when he got home?! I hope this adds to your vast knowledge of Pants. Maybe now I'll attempt a pants fling in my Mum's undies drawer! Hey, that's funny. They're also called Drawers! The Drawer Drawer! My Mum's little brother used to be called "Droopy Drawers" because his pants were always falling down to his knees. Ha Ha. Ha. Teddy Bear Greetings From America...Quirky The Bear.
